Gossip Public Service Announcement

 

Introduction

Our wonderful counselor, Ms. Kinsella, noticed that gossip is causing some ISB students pain and making even more feel uncomfortable. She asked this class to create a public service announcement (PSA) about gossip in a way that discourages people from spreading gossip.

 

Working in groups, we create a set of PSA’s to give to Ms. Kinsela. She will select her favorite(s) and use them in advisories, her office and maybe at a whole school assembly.  Nice!

 

A public service announcement (PSA) is a 60-90 second video that highlights a problem, shows examples and then provides a call to action (solution(s).

Steps to Success

 

1. Review and fill in the suggested outline. You don’t have to follow this exactly, but you must complete it before you begin storyboarding.
2. Storyboard your ideas
3. Film
4. Edit. Everybody has their own version as usual
5. Upload to Google Classroom

• What type of emotion do you want your audience to feel? This is communicated through music
